ForgeConnect ("we," "us," or "our") is operated by Forge1 Inc., a Canadian company. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable Canadian provincial privacy legislation.

What We Collect

We collect only the minimum information necessary to provide our services:

  • Account information — email address and password when you create an account.
  • Profile information — name, title, phone number, company details, and links you choose to add to your public profile. This information is voluntarily provided by you and displayed publicly on your profile page.
  • Order information — name, email, shipping address, and PayPal transaction details when you make a purchase.
  • Lead capture data — when someone submits their contact information through your profile's lead capture form, that data is stored and shared with you as the profile owner.

What We Do NOT Collect

  • We do not store credit card numbers or payment details. All payments are processed securely through PayPal.
  • We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
  • We do not use your data for advertising or profiling.

Anonymous Analytics

We collect anonymous, aggregated usage statistics to improve our service. This includes general data such as page views, tap counts, device types, and browser information. This data is not linked to any individual and cannot be used to identify you. We use this information solely to understand how our platform is used and to make it better.

NFC Card Tap Data

When someone taps your NFC business card, we log anonymous metadata such as the general location (city/region level, not precise GPS), device type, browser, and operating system. This data is provided to you as the card owner through your dashboard analytics. The person tapping the card is not tracked or identified unless they voluntarily submit their information through a lead capture form.

How We Protect Your Data

  • All data is stored on Supabase infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit.
  • Access to your data is protected by authentication and row-level security policies.
  • We use HTTPS for all communications.
  • We regularly review and update our security practices.

Your Rights Under Canadian Law

Under PIPEDA and applicable provincial laws, you have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correction — request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Deletion — request that we delete your personal information and account.
  • Withdrawal of consent — withdraw consent for the collection or use of your information at any time.

Cookies

We use essential cookies only for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics cookies. No cookie consent banner is required because we do not use non-essential cookies.

Data Retention

We retain your account and profile data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days. Order records may be retained for up to 7 years for tax and legal compliance purposes, as required by Canadian law.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate ForgeConnect:

  • Supabase — database and authentication (data stored in Canada/US regions).
  • PayPal — payment processing. Subject to PayPal's Privacy Policy.
  • Resend — transactional email delivery.
  • Netlify — website hosting.

Children's Privacy

ForgeConnect is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you by email or through a notice on our website. Your continued use of ForgeConnect after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
